This Payment, Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how payments, refunds, cancellations, rescheduling, review eligibility decisions, contributor no-shows, follow-up purchases, and customer dissatisfaction reviews are handled on Zippgun.
This document is the authoritative source for Zippgun commerce-policy rules.
1. Scope
This policy applies to purchases and service requests made through Zippgun, including:
- Music review publication services.
- Promotion-related services.
- Professional feedback sessions.
- Follow-up feedback sessions.
- Related platform purchases or service requests.
2. Payment Timing
Payment is collected during checkout when you purchase a service through the platform.
Your purchase may create an order, submission, feedback request, or other platform workflow depending on the service purchased.
Accepted payment methods are displayed during checkout and may vary over time.
3. Payment Processing
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.
Zippgun does not store complete payment card information.
Payment processors may apply their own terms, privacy practices, security procedures, and processing requirements.
4. Prices
Prices are displayed at checkout or on the relevant service page.
Zippgun may update pricing from time to time.
Price changes do not retroactively change completed purchases unless required by law or expressly stated by Zippgun.
5. Taxes
You are responsible for any taxes, fees, or charges that may apply to your purchase, except where Zippgun is legally required to collect and remit them.
6. Review Submission Eligibility
Review services are intended for completed works that are intended for public listening and distribution.
A submission may be considered ineligible if it consists of:
- Unfinished work.
- Rough snippets.
- Test uploads.
- Incomplete demos not intended for public release.
- Content that cannot reasonably be reviewed as a completed release.
- Content that creates legal, safety, operational, or editorial concerns.
Eligibility is based on completeness and suitability for publication, not subjective artistic quality.
7. Ineligible Review Submissions
If a review submission is deemed ineligible, the artist will be notified.
If Zippgun declines a paid review submission because it is ineligible, Zippgun may issue a refund for that service.
Zippgun reserves the right to determine review eligibility in good faith.
8. Review Publication Timing
Estimated review publication timelines may be communicated through the website, emails, FAQs, or checkout experience.
Timelines are estimates and may vary based on submission volume, editorial capacity, technical issues, incomplete information, or other operational factors.
9. Review Outcomes
Payment for a review service does not guarantee:
- A positive review.
- Specific editorial wording.
- Specific promotional outcome.
- Audience growth.
- Streaming results.
- Commercial success.
Review philosophy and editorial independence are governed by the Editorial Standards document.
10. Feedback Session Assignment
After purchasing a feedback session, the request enters the platform workflow and may be assigned to a Feedback Contributor.
Assignment timing may vary based on contributor availability, service type, demand, and administrative review.
11. Scheduling Feedback Sessions
Feedback sessions are scheduled through contributor booking calendars.
Customers are responsible for selecting an available time and completing required booking-confirmation steps.
Because scheduling may occur outside the Zippgun website, customers may be required to confirm booking completion inside Zippgun.
12. Rescheduling Requests
Customers may request a reschedule through the platform workflow.
A reschedule request does not automatically cancel the existing booking or create a new booking.
Reschedule requests are reviewed and processed before further action is taken.
Customers and contributors may also need to coordinate scheduling through the contributor's booking tools.
13. Cancellation Requests
Customers may request cancellation through the platform workflow.
A cancellation request does not automatically:
- Cancel a calendar booking.
- Cancel a feedback request.
- Trigger a refund.
- End contributor involvement.
Cancellation requests are reviewed administratively before a decision is made.
14. Refund Review
Refund decisions are reviewed case by case.
Factors may include:
- Service type.
- Request status.
- Whether work has begun.
- Whether a contributor has been assigned.
- Whether the session has been booked.
- Whether the session has occurred.
- Whether written notes or other deliverables have been provided.
- Eligibility determinations.
- Customer and contributor communications.
- Platform records.
No refund is guaranteed unless expressly stated in this policy or required by law.
15. Contributor No-Shows
If a contributor is unable to attend a scheduled session or misses a confirmed session, Zippgun will work with the customer to resolve the situation.
Depending on the circumstances, resolution may include:
- Rescheduling with the original contributor.
- Reassignment to another qualified contributor.
- Refund.
- Another reasonable resolution determined by Zippgun.
Customers will not be penalized when a missed session is outside of their control.
16. Customer No-Shows
If a customer misses a confirmed session without timely notice, refund eligibility may be limited.
Zippgun may review the circumstances, including contributor availability, preparation already performed, communication history, and whether rescheduling is reasonable.
17. Late Arrivals
If a customer or contributor is late, the parties should communicate as soon as reasonably possible.
Late arrivals may reduce available session time.
Refund or rescheduling decisions related to lateness are reviewed case by case.
18. Dissatisfaction With Feedback
If a customer is dissatisfied with a feedback session, the customer should contact Zippgun.
Zippgun will review the situation and determine the best path forward.
Possible outcomes may include clarification, administrative review, contributor follow-up, rescheduling, reassignment, credit, refund, or no further action depending on the circumstances.
No specific remedy is guaranteed.
19. Written Feedback Notes
Written feedback notes are part of the feedback session deliverable.
Once a session has occurred and notes have been delivered or substantially prepared, refund eligibility may be reduced or unavailable depending on the circumstances.
20. Follow-Up Sessions
Follow-up sessions are separate purchases.
Follow-up sessions are intended to continue work related to the original project, contributor, and service type.
A follow-up session is not a general discount for unrelated new work.
If the platform offers follow-up discounts, the discount applies only to eligible follow-up requests made through the approved workflow.
21. Follow-Up Invitations
Follow-up sessions may require a private invitation connected to an eligible completed feedback request.
Customers may not purchase a follow-up session unless the platform makes that option available.
22. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, Zippgun may suspend related services, pause active requests, restrict account access, or require resolution before further services are provided.
Please contact Zippgun first so we can review the issue directly.
23. Administrative Review
Zippgun reserves the right to review unusual, unclear, abusive, fraudulent, or disputed situations individually.
Administrative decisions may consider platform records, payment records, contributor communications, customer communications, service status, and fairness to all parties.
